This specie presents all of the characteristics of parasites species, with a clear degeneration of mandibles, palps, antennae, etc.
Well developed eyes with three ocelli present in the occiput. Antennae with 10 or 11 segments, and those from second tofourth more or less fused. Palp formula 1,1, with palpi reduced and globular. Clypeus with the anterior border clearly notched at its middle zone. mandibles very reduced, with an apical tooth only. Frontal lobes not developed, with the antennae clearly separated by a middle zone. Wing venation reduced. Gaster with a concave zone at the dorsum in the middle antero-posterior line. When fertile, the queen presents a notorious physogastry.
